Mindfulness, Development, and Movement for Every Stage of Your Family
Welcome to Grow Baby. I am dedicated to supporting parents and their new babies through touch, play, giggles, and fun. I offer two different types of classes.
My Baby Massage classes provide opportunities to develop deep bonds between caregivers, as well as babies with common ailments.
I also offer Baby Yoga classes that offer gentle exercise for parents while providing babies with sensory stimulation and gentle exercise for them. Join me for a nurturing and supportive experience for both you and your baby!

Baby Massage
My baby massage classes are an excellent way for new parents to bond with their babies. I understand that bonding can come really easily for some new parents, but is more challenging for others; all of which is completely normal. I provide comprehensive instruction to help you enjoy the classes, as well as continue baby massage at home. You will also receive a starter pack on joining, which includes your oil and instruction guide. My classes are suitable for babies from 6 weeks old and can help with sleep, digestion, wind, and provide relief for common colds and sinus problems. In addition to the relaxing course, you'll have the opportunity to meet other new parents with refreshments after each session. Look out for my dad and grandparent classes that run on weekends.

1:1 classes or small groups
For some families, they want to experience baby massage in the comfort of their own home. I offer 1:1 classes in your home, if that suits you better. I also offer small group classes if you want to conduct these in the comfort of your own chosen location, with a small group of friends. Contact me using the form below to find out more.

Baby Yoga
My baby yoga classes are designed to support new mums in their post-natal recovery journey while also providing a fun and engaging experience for their babies. I offer gentle exercises that help mums build strength and support their body's healing process. My classes also incorporate moves that strengthen babies as they grow and sensory play, such as our rainbow parachute play. Babies are welcome to join us from 8 weeks. Join me for a unique bonding experience with your little one!

The benefits of massage and yoga
01
Developing your life long bond
Baby massage is a beautiful way to connect with your little one. By using your hands, facial expressions, and sounds, you can deepen the bond between you and your baby. It's not just for mums - dads, grandparents, and other primary caregivers can all benefit from this special time with baby. Plus, it can help reduce stress and bring confidence to new parents.
Baby yoga will also aid bonding, trust and social interaction for babies.
Both yoga and massage are all about connection and communication, which forge those life long bonds.
02
Physiological benefits
Massage and yoga can provide numerous physiological benefits for babies. It can improve circulation, strengthen the immune system, aid digestion (which can ease colic and constipation), and encourage weight gain. Additionally, it can promote muscular coordination and joint flexibility, and produce endorphins that relieve pain and tension while boosting happiness. Babies born via caesarean can especially benefit from massage, as they may not have experienced the cutaneous stimulation of the birth canal. Massage and yoga stimulates all of a baby's major systems: co-ordination, respiration, digestion, learning ability and language development. So impressive!
03
Learning, learning, learning
It is simply amazing what babies learn through yoga and massage. Their brain is stimulated, their vocalisation increases which assists their speech and language development and they develop physical confidence and spatial awareness. They experience relaxation which in turn helps them to self-calm and they develop emotional security and a healthy body awareness.
04
Social bonding for new parents
At The Grow Concept, I recognise that being a parent can sometimes feel like a solitary experience. That's why I place a strong emphasis on fostering connections between parents in our classes. My sessions are intentionally designed to provide opportunities for parents to meet others who are going through similar experiences. I believe my classes are the perfect place to meet some of your new life long friends.
What if my baby is asleep/hungry/crying?
My baby massage and yoga classes are always baby led. If you need to feed or change your baby, you are very welcome to do so at your mat or wherever you are comfortable. If they are having a cry, I don't mind! Give them a cuddle, take them for a wander; do what makes them happy. And if they are sleeping, they are still taking in some of the sounds around them and you will still be learning. I always have a spare massage doll so you can practice the moves, if it is not the right time for your baby at that moment. I embrace all things baby.
What should I bring?
In your first class, you will be provided with the oil you need for massage, and after each class, you will have access to the course notes that will help you to continue massage at home. You will need to bring a towel for the baby to lie on and a reusable cup for your hot or cold drink in our social time. It is worth bringing a hair tie if you have long hair so that it doesn't distract your baby during the massage. If you have your own yoga mat or change mat you want to bring, please do, but I can provide this if needed. Once you are signed up, I will send you all the information you need so you are ready for your first class.
My child has health issues - can I still sign up?
Baby massage and yoga benefits nearly all babies and we welcome everyone. When you sign up for your course, you will be asked to complete some health questions before you begin. If your child does have any health concerns, I do ask that you speak to your health visitor or specialist to ensure that they are happy for you to proceed. Once they have said yes, you can just let me know and I will then enrol you on to your class.
