Welcome to Grow Teen, the perfect place for teenagers to explore the benefits of yoga in a supportive and fun environment. My classes have been expertly designed to promote physical and mental health, while also building strong bonds of friendship and community. Whether your teen is seeking to improve their athletic abilities or simply wanting to unwind and destress, The Grow Concept has something for everyone.

Yoga Child's Pose

What does a teen yoga class look like?

My teen yoga classes offer a supportive and welcoming space for young people to explore yoga in a way that suits their growing bodies and busy lives. Unlike children's yoga, these sessions focus more on developing yoga poses, improving strength and flexibility, and introducing deeper breathwork and meditation techniques to help manage stress and emotions.

Building Strength & Flexibility
Teen yoga includes a range of dynamic and grounding poses to help develop strength, flexibility, and balance. As teens' bodies continue to grow and change, yoga supports healthy posture, joint stability, and overall mobility, reducing the risk of tension or injury.

Breathwork for Stress & Emotional Regulation
Breathing techniques are a key part of the class, helping teens learn how to calm their minds, manage anxiety, and improve focus. By practicing controlled breathing, they develop tools to handle the pressures of school, exams, friendships, and everyday challenges with more ease.

Meditation & Mindfulness
Each session includes guided meditation and mindfulness practices, helping teens to slow down, become more present, and develop self-awareness. These techniques can improve sleep, boost concentration, and support emotional resilience, making them valuable skills for both school and life.

Supporting Mental Health & Well-Being
Yoga is a powerful tool for reducing stress and improving mood. It encourages relaxation, releases tension, and promotes a positive mindset. Regular practice can help with managing anxiety, building confidence, and fostering a sense of inner calm.

Enhancing Sports & Physical Performance
For teens involved in sports or other physical activities, yoga improves flexibility, coordination, and muscle recovery, making it a great complement to athletics, dance, or any active lifestyle.

Teen yoga is about feeling good—physically and mentally. Whether you're looking for a way to relax, improve fitness, or find balance in a busy world, these classes offer a safe space to explore movement, breath, and mindfulness in a way that fits your life.

Yoga for exam stress

Exams can be a stressful time, but yoga offers simple, effective techniques to help manage anxiety, improve focus, and stay calm under pressure. My Exam Stress Yoga sessions are designed specifically for students, providing easy-to-use tools that fit into a busy revision schedule and can be used right up to and during the exam itself.

Chair Yoga for Revising
Long hours of studying can lead to tension, stiffness, and mental fatigue. I can show you chair yoga poses which are designed to be done while sitting at a desk, helping to release tension in the shoulders, back, and neck, boost circulation, and keep the mind fresh and alert. These simple movements can make studying more comfortable and effective.

Short Pre-Exam Yoga Routines
A few minutes of movement before an exam can help shake off nervous energy, improve focus, and put you in the right mindset to perform at your best. These short sequences help with grounding, calming the mind, and boosting confidence, so you walk into the exam room feeling prepared and in control.

Breathing Exercises for Exam Nerves
Feeling overwhelmed during an exam? Breathwork techniques can be a game-changer. I teach simple but powerful breathing exercises to slow the heart rate, steady the nerves, and clear the mind, helping you regain focus if stress starts to take over. These techniques can be used anytime, anywhere, providing instant relief during high-pressure moments.

By incorporating yoga into your revision routine, you’ll not only feel more relaxed and focused but also develop long-term tools for handling stress in all areas of life. These sessions are practical, easy to follow, and designed to support students during one of the most challenging times of the year.
